Mayor Shiela Williams called the meeting to order and Commissioner Weaver offered invocation.  Tracy Sullivan, Town Clerk called the roll.

COMMISSIONERS PRESENT

Commissioner Humphrey, Commissioner Gibson, Commissioner Jenkins, and Commissioner Weaver.  Commissioner Hamm was considered present after the Board approved the withdrawl of her resignation letter.  Town Administrator, Robert Masters and Town Attorney, David Orcutt were also present.

Debra Hamm stated that she would like to withdraw her resignation and would like to continue serving on the Town Board.

Commissioner Humphrey made the motion to allow Commissioner Hamm to continue serving as Commissioner over streets and sanitation.  Commissioner Jenkins seconded the motion.  The motion carried.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Commissioner Weaver made the motion to adopt the Amendment to Section II of Article VI of the Town of Sharpsburg Personnel Policies (Vehicle Use Policy).  Commissioner Jenkins seconded the motion.  The motion did not carry.  Commissioners Gibson, Humphrey and Hamm voted nay.

The Board decided to hold interviews for the Finance Officer position on March 31, 2009 beginning at 5:15 PM.

CLOSED SESSION

Commissioner Gibson made the motion to go into closed session to discuss personnel issues.  Commissioner Humphrey seconded the motion.  The motion carried.

David Orcutt advised the Board on a pending legal matter concerning Sgt. Frank Griffin.

The Board also discussed the performance of the Town Administrator.

OPEN SESSION

Commissioner Weaver made the motion to return to open session.  Commissioner Hamm seconded the motion.  The motion carried.

ADJOURNMENT

Commissioner Weaver made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Hamm seconded the motion.  The motion carried.
