Mayor Sheila Williams called the meeting to order and Commissioner Weaver offered invocation. Commissioner Humphrey called the roll.

CLOSED SESSION
Commissioner Gibson made the motion to go into closed session to discuss personnel matters. Commissioner Weaver seconded the motion. The motion carried.
During closed session the Board discussed interviews for the Finance Officer position and discussed the upcoming vacancy of the Town Administrator position.
OPEN SESSION
Commissioner Weaver made the motion to go into open session. Commissioner Hamm seconded the motion. The motion carried.
APPROVAL TO PAY THE BILLS
Commissioner Weaver made the motion to approve to pay the bills. Commissioner Humphrey seconded the motion. The motion carried.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
Commissioner Hamm made the motion to approve the minutes of the Regular Meetings held on March 3 and March 17, 2009 and the special meetings held on March 10, 25 and 31, 2009. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Gibson. The motion carried.

Joseph Strachan – Ditch behind his property on Queen Streets needs to be cleaned.
Disagreed with Fire Department purchasing new vehicle.
Age limit on single wide mobile homes cutting down on revenue for
Sharpsburg.
Bernard Ferland – Junk cars throughout Sharpsburg, stated he would like to volunteer to help
clean up the Town.
John Smith - Speeding traffic on B Street.
Bobby Vick - Teenagers loitering on the corner of Lincoln Street.

Commissioner Humphrey made the motion to table all discussion on the Carina Meters until a contract was received. Commissioner Gibson seconded the motion. The motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
a. Commissioner Hamm made the motion to table the approval of the bids for street paving. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Humphrey. The motion carried.
b. Commissioner Gibson made the motion to table the approval of the 2009 Audit Contract. Commissioner Humphrey seconded the motion. The motion carried.
c. Commissioner Humphrey made the motion to decline the renewal of the Carolina
Opportunities Contract for Town Administrator Services as of July 1, 2009. Commissioner
Hamm seconded the motion. The motion carried.
