Edgecombe County

The Town of Sharpsburg is located within the Southwestern tip of Edgecombe County North Carolina. Edgecombe County is where second largest portion of Town limits of Sharpsburg is located.

Within Edgecombe County lies Tarboro which is the county seat of Edgecombe County. History buffs will soak up the civil war history that Tarboro is known for.

Additional towns in Edgecombe County include the towns of Macclesfield, Pinetops and Princeville among others. US Highway 64 Bypass and NC Highway 42 all serve as major routes through and to the area. The Edgecombe County part of Sharpsburg allows easy access to Greenville, North Carolina which includes ECU and Pitt Memorial Hospital.
